Correct carbohydrate portion & types
If you have heard of the Atkins diet then I am sure you believe carbohydrates are the devil. Sorry to break it to you but the majority of your calories should come from correct carbohydrates. Eating the correct types and portions of carbohydrates is the key towards burning fat and skyrocketing your energy levels through the roof!
Healthy types of carbohydrates are fruits, vegetables, whole wheat & grains, nuts and high fiber foods for a healthy digestive system. One of the basic rules to follow is to eat more carbohydrates is the morning and less at night as your body is accelerating in the morning and shutting down at night. Strive to consume around 50 to 60% of your daily calories from carbohydrates that would be about 1000 to 1200 calories on a 2000 calorie eating plan.
Exercise for results
If your main goal is to lose body fat, flatten your stomach and build a lean tone body then walking three times a week in the morning is not the exercise plan for you. An exercise program has to implement both weight and cardio training together to reach any fitness and health goals. Doing 200 crunches a day will not flatten your stomach unless you burn all the fat covering your abs by intense cardio. You should not spend anymore than an hour in the gym every day but I might add while your in the gym, its workout time not social time. Spend about 20 to 30 minutes on cardio and 20 to 30 minutes on weight training for an incredible workout.
Get moving
What kind of lifestyle do you have? Do you like to get out on the weekends to go hiking, bike riding or just spending time with your family at the park? So many people have a sedentary lifestyle that all I want to say to them is get up and get moving.
It is time for you to get off your butt and do something for your health like walking, going to the park or even going to the gym. You are the reason why you have gained weight, feel crummy and have no energy throughout the day. Get up and get moving.
Find eternal motivation
Why do you want to lose weight, develop a flat stomach and create a great physique? Find the reason why you want to reach your goals as things get tough and people quit but you won't because you know your motivation. Put pictures on your fridge, find a workout partner or join active activities to keep your eyes on your goals. Get motivated and stay motivated for life.
