How to Lose Body Fat Quick and Easy

As a society we often don't take the time to educate ourselves on food or the body. We sit down to a meal and have no idea about the Nutritional value and calorie intake we are about to eat. Things like how many calories are in the meal, do we have a balance of protein, carbohydrate and good fats, how many grams of fat are we about to digest, the nutritional value of the food, are we getting the right amount of nutrients, is the food cooked the right way etc.

As a society we often eat at the wrong time, we eat when we are not hungry, we emotionally eat, we eat on the run, we eat when someone says eat and we wake up one day extremely over weight and wonder how did we put on so much weight.

All the extra fat and calories that we eat turn into fat. You can't expect to stay fit and healthy if you are eating double your daily recommended calories. This excessive overeating will mean thunder thighs, beer belly and love handles. It is so easy to eat a hamburger that contains 17grams of fat and 2,000 calories rather than take the time to go shopping and cook a calorie wise meal.. Do you know how long it will take you to burn off 2,000 calories by walking? Walk for one minute and you burn around 4 calories.

So how do we lose body fat?

Work out what your recommended weight is and how many calories are needed for you to maintain this weight. There are online calculators you can use to work this out. Next purchase a small calorie counter book that will teach you the calorie value of foods. This book needs to be your daily companion till you have a basic understanding of how many calories are in the foods you eat. If your game sit down and calculate how many calories you are eating on a daily basis now. Make sure your sitting down when you add it up as it may just shock you.

Next work out how many pounds you're over your ideal body weight. Remember there are around 3,500 calories in a pound of body weight. So multiple the pounds you're over by 3,500. This will give you the total calories you are over weight.

You will lose weight if you only consume the recommended calorie intake for the weight you want to be. All the extra calories you can burn off exercising if you want to lose weight quicker. It is recommended to stick to healthy foods.

For those who like to exercise try to exercise first thing in the morning. This is the ideal time as your body will use the stored fat on your body during the workout. Your body will continue to burn the excess fat up to an hour or more after exercise so don't eat for at least an hour after exercising.

Next try and eat 1 protein, 1 carbohydrate and 1 good fat for each meal. Try and eat 6 times a day not 3, just make the potions on your plate smaller.

If you follow these few simple things you will be more aware of the foods you eat and you will lose weight and of course lose body fat.
